One Step Green Calming Pad

COSRX One Step Green Calming Pad is a pre-soaked pad that does the toner step for you in a single wipe. It picks up the dirt and cleanser residue your rinse left behind, then leaves the skin damp with a green tea based essence instead of bare and tight. The pads themselves are cut from a soft fabric chosen for reactive skin.

What it actually does

• Catches what your cleanser missed. The pad lifts leftover grime and cleansing residue off the skin rather than leaving it to sit under your serum.
• Green-RX complex calms irritation. COSRX sources this blend from natural plants and credits it with helping skin recover after it has been aggravated.
• Green tea water makes up three quarters of the base. The brand uses it for both soothing and hydration, which is why the skin stays damp after a wipe.
• The fabric is part of the formula. COSRX calls it their mildest treatment and specifies a special soft weave for sensitive skin.
• Nothing to rinse off. The essence stays on, so you go straight into the next step.

How to use

1. Cleanse, then use a pad at the toner stage — once or twice a day.
2. Wipe gently over the face. No pressure needed; the pad is doing the work.
3. Pat in the essence left behind. Tap the remaining liquid into the skin with your fingers.
4. Continue as normal. No rinsing — layer your usual serum and moisturiser on top.
5. Close the lid tightly. This is the one that matters: a loose lid dries the remaining pads out and lets them pick up bacteria.

How often should I use it?

COSRX suggests once or twice daily after cleansing. If your skin is very reactive, starting once a day in the evening is the easier way in.

Why did my pads dry out?

Almost always a lid that was not sealed properly. Press it shut after every use so the pads stay wet and clean, and keep the tub out of direct sun and off a hot windowsill.
