Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner

COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner is a watery, spray-type toner built for skin that reacts to almost everything. COSRX deliberately kept the formula short, leaving out the extras that tend to set sensitive skin off, and the result is a toner you can mist on when your face feels hot, tight or flushed.

What it actually does

• Settles irritated skin. COSRX positions it as relief for skin that is already upset, and says it calms the look of redness.
• Feeds minerals to the skin. That is one of the two benefits the brand lists — the other is soothing sensitivity.
• Leaves out what it doesn't need. The ingredient list was kept short on purpose, with anything potentially irritating stripped out. There's no alcohol in it.
• Feels like water, not a product. The consistency is thin and sprayable, so it won't add weight before your serum.
• Doubles as a daytime reset. Because it's a spray, you can use it to freshen the face in the middle of the day without taking off your routine.

How to use

1. As a toner: after cleansing, spray onto a cotton pad and sweep gently over the face, keeping clear of the eyes and mouth.
2. As a mist: spray straight onto the face any time during the day when skin feels warm or tight.
3. Follow on. Apply your serum and moisturiser while the skin is still slightly damp, then SPF in the morning.

Does it really contain no alcohol?

Correct — that's the point of the name. COSRX left out the ingredients it considers unnecessary and potentially irritating for reactive skin, alcohol included.

Cotton pad or straight onto the face?

Both are official. Use a pad after cleansing if you want the light wiping action; spray it directly when you just want to freshen up mid-day.

Can I mist it over makeup?

It's intended as a daytime refresher, so a light mist is fine. Hold the bottle at arm's length and let it fall rather than soaking the face, and don't rub it in over base makeup.
