Hourglass Ambient™ Lighting Palette puts three of the brand's Ambient Lighting Powders side by side in one compact. These are finishing powders built around the idea of controlling light rather than hiding skin — Hourglass's Photoluminescent Technology is designed to catch harsh light, scatter it and soften how it bounces off the face.

What it actually does

• Softens light instead of masking skin. Hourglass contrasts these with conventional powders that simply cover: the Ambient powders are built to capture surrounding light, diffuse it and refine how the complexion reads.
• Filters out what you do not want seen. The brand states the technology manipulates light to play down the look of pores, fine lines and imperfections.
• Adds dimension rather than flatness. According to Hourglass the powders bring a multidimensional luminescence to every skin tone, so skin looks softer and lit from within.

• Three shades, one compact. With three universal shades in the palette you can mix your own effect rather than committing to a single powder.
• Parabens: Hourglass formulates it without them. The brand also confirms its products are 100 percent cruelty-free.

How to use

1. Finish your base first. This is the last step over foundation and concealer, not a replacement for them.
2. Dust it all over the face with the Ambient Lighting Brush, which is what Hourglass recommends for an even, weightless layer.
3. Work shade by shade if you want targeted effects — one for the centre of the face, a warmer one around the perimeter.
4. Handle the pans carefully. Hourglass flags that Ambient Lighting Powder is fragile, so avoid dropping the compact or digging in with a stiff brush.

Is this a highlighter or a setting powder?

Closer to a finishing powder with a luminous result. It is applied as the final step across the whole face to soften how light reads on skin, which is a different job from a concentrated strip highlighter on the cheekbone.

Which volume should I choose?

Volume I is the core trio. Volume II is the same idea pushed warmer, with Golden Bronze Light included — the one to pick if you lean warm or want a light bronzing option. Volume III is the brightest, strobe-leaning set.

Will it work on deeper skin tones?

Hourglass describes the three shades in the palette as universal and says the powders deliver luminescence across every skin tone. Which of the three you reach for most will still depend on your depth and undertone.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. Palettes already with us arrive at the short end; limited-edition volumes we source for you take longer. Working days exclude weekends and official holidays.

What if the powder arrives cracked?

The pressed powder is fragile, so open the box and check before anything else. Report a damaged, defective or expired item within 1 day of delivery with a photo; once verified we refund to your original payment method within 15–30 days.
