What it actually does

• Protects skin that gets forgotten. Supergoop! points out the eye area is thinner and more delicate than the rest of the face, which leaves it exposed to UV damage, ageing and the hyperpigmentation that shows up as dark circles.
• Uses zinc oxide only. The brand describes a fully mineral, non-nano zinc filter as the gentlest way to deliver broad-spectrum cover this close to the eye.
• Brightens immediately. The under-eye looks brighter from application, not weeks later.
• Works on circles and puffiness. A blend of probiotics, pomegranate and caffeine is included to help brighten and reduce how visible dark circles and puffiness are.
• Screens blue light as well. Wild butterfly ginger flower is in there to help defend against blue-light damage.
• Preps for makeup. It absorbs quickly, which is why Supergoop! also pitches it as a base for eye makeup — concealer has something smooth to sit on.

How to use

1. Use it in the morning, after your serum and before makeup. This is a daytime product; the SPF is the point.
2. Be generous and even all the way around the eye, not just under it — the outer corner and the lid area count.
3. Blend with your ring finger, gently. It's the weakest finger, so you apply the least pressure.
4. Give it 15 minutes before you go out into sun.
5. Top up alongside your face SPF if you're outdoors for long stretches.

Can I use it at night as a regular eye cream?

It's formulated as a daytime eye cream, so most of what you're paying for — the zinc protection and blue-light defence — is wasted after dark. Keep it for mornings and use a dedicated night eye product if you want one.

Will it sting or migrate into my eyes?

Mineral zinc formulas are generally the gentler choice for the eye area, which is why Supergoop! chose it here. Still, apply it a few millimetres away from the lash line and blend outward rather than pressing it right up to the lid edge.

Does it replace my face sunscreen?

No. This covers the eye area only. You still need a face SPF for cheeks, forehead, nose and neck — apply this one around the eyes and your regular sunscreen everywhere else.

How long does delivery take?
