What it actually does

• Volumises in one coat. BUXOM’s claim is three times the volume from a single pass, rather than needing layer after layer.
• Catches the lashes you usually miss. The hourglass brush is shaped so the narrow waist and dense bristles grip hard-to-reach lashes for definition and length.
• Adds curl and lift. The brand describes the result as fierce, flexible, fanned-out lashes with serious curl, not a stiff spiky set.
• Stays clump-free and glossy. The pigments are described as patent-leather in finish, so lashes look wet-black rather than dusty.
• Conditions while it wears. Vitamin E is included to nourish and condition lashes, alongside other vitamins and antioxidants in the formula.
• Tested on eyes, not animals. It is ophthalmologist-tested, and BUXOM states the brand is 100% cruelty-free and formulates without parabens, mineral oil or petrolatum.

How to use

1. Coat the lashes first. Hold the wand horizontally and work from root to tip, evenly across the whole lash line.
2. For a lifted, half-lash look, turn the wand vertical and use only the tip to build generous layers on the outer corner lashes.
3. For the fanned-out effect, use the brush tip to push and lift in three directions: inner lashes towards the bridge of the nose, centre lashes up towards the middle of the brow, outer lashes out towards the hairline.
4. Work while it is still wet. The pushing and lifting steps only reshape lashes before the formula sets.

Questions

Do I need more than one coat?

BUXOM’s volume claim is based on a single coat, so one pass is the intended starting point. Add a second only if you want more intensity on the outer corners.

Is it hard to take off?

In the brand’s consumer study, 93% of the 30 participants described it as easy to remove. It is not listed as waterproof, so a normal eye makeup remover or cleansing oil should handle it.

Is it suitable if I wear contact lenses?

The product is ophthalmologist-tested, which is the relevant reassurance BUXOM provides. Contact lens wearers with sensitive eyes should still apply from the mid-lash up and avoid loading the very root.

When will it arrive, and how can I pay?

Can I return a mascara?

Only if it arrives defective, damaged or expired, and only if you report it within 1 day of delivery. Verified refunds are returned to your original payment method within 15–30 days. For hygiene reasons an opened mascara cannot come back for change of mind.
