Dior Snow Essence of Light Creme is a moisturising treatment the house built around edelweiss, the botanical it credits with brightening, and it is meant for the neck just as much as the face. Dior took its cue from the purity of snow: evenness first, with radiance following on from it. Dermatologically tested.
What it actually does
- Luminosity, counted in five dimensions. Dior's claim is that the cream lights the complexion up while levelling out the look and feel of the surface, across what it treats as five separate dimensions of glow.
- Three angles on dark spots. How many, how large, how deep in tone — the brand says the formula visibly works on all three, and that is its route to a more uniform complexion.
- What Dior labels 5QD efficacy. Under that heading the brand puts translucency, evenness, surplus sebum and imperfections, and adds that the cream settles feelings of discomfort.
- Edelweiss plus a vitamin C derivative. Leontopodium alpinum flower/leaf extract sits in the ingredient list next to 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid.
- Neck included. Dior does not limit the cream to the face.
- Dermatologically tested, per the brand.
How to use
Twice a day on cleansed skin: serum first, then this, carried down onto the neck. In the morning, sunscreen goes over the top. Brightening is cumulative, so the daily habit counts for more than the amount you use.

Dior describes them as how many spots there are, how large they are, and how dark their tone is. The formula is made to act visibly on all three.
Can I use it on my neck as well?
Yes — Dior presents it as a cream for both face and neck.
Is it suitable for oily skin?
Excess sebum is one of the things Dior says the 5QD efficacy acts on, so it isn't designed only for dry skin. If you're very reactive, patch test first.
