CHI Infra Shampoo is a repair-and-maintain shampoo rather than a deep-clean one. CHI builds it on a protein blend — silk, wheat and soy proteins plus amino acids — and the formula skips sulfates and parabens, so it lifts dirt and buildup without stripping the oils that keep hair soft. What it actually does

• Feeds protein back into the hair. CHI formulates it around silk, amino acids and wheat and soy proteins, which the brand positions as the repair, upkeep and protection side of the product.
• Rebalances moisture. The brand's claim is that it brings the hair's moisture levels back into balance and hydrates deeply, from the scalp through to the ends.
• Addresses heat damage. CHI states the formula reconstructs hair that has been damaged by heat — relevant if you blow-dry, straighten or curl regularly.
• Cleans without stripping. Because it is sulfate-free, CHI positions the wash as one that clears away dirt and impurities while leaving the hair's natural oils in place, so it ends up clean but not squeaky.
• Leaves hair easier to handle. The brand describes the result as soft and manageable with a healthy look to it.
• Suits every hair type. CHI rates it for all hair types and says the gentleness also makes it a reasonable choice if your skin is on the sensitive side.

How to use

1. Wet the hair thoroughly. Sulfate-free formulas lather less, and dry hair makes that worse.
2. Work it into the scalp, not the ends. The scalp is where the oil and buildup sit; the ends get cleaned by the runoff.
3. Shampoo twice if you use a lot of product. One short pass to loosen, one to actually clean.
4. Rinse until the hair feels slippery, not squeaky. Squeaky means stripped.
5. Follow with the matching treatment. CHI recommends finishing with CHI Infra Treatment and its silk infusion serum for the best outcome.

Can I use it every day?

Yes — CHI positions daily washing as fine with this one, specifically because it cleans without taking the natural oils with it.

Is it colour-safe?

CHI does not make a colour-specific claim for it, so we won't either. What we can tell you is that it is rated for all hair types and formulated without sulfates, which is generally the gentler choice on treated hair.

Why doesn't it lather much?

Sulfate-free shampoos foam less than conventional ones. It is not a sign the shampoo isn't working — soak the hair properly and massage longer rather than adding more product.

What should I use after it?

CHI's own recommendation is to follow with CHI Infra Treatment and its silk infusion serum. Both are sold separately.
