Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara uses an oversized brush to thicken lashes without loading them down. Clinique's framing is ultra volume plus length — colour that stacks easily, on a formula approved for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

What it actually does

• Fattens lashes without the weight. The brand's central claim is that the formula plumps lashes while keeping them from feeling heavy or dragged down.
• The big brush wraps the lash. Clinique says the oversized head adds 360-degree definition, so the coating isn't only on the front face of the lash.
• Transforms fine lashes. Per Clinique, lashes go from thin and faint to noticeably bolder.

How to use

1. Get in at the lashline. Position the wand as close to the base of the lashes as you can manage.
2. Wiggle and pull through. Shake the brush slightly as you draw it from root to tip — that's what spreads the formula around the lash.
3. Repeat to build. Add coats until the volume is where you want it.
4. Remove with a Clinique makeup remover.

Is the oversized brush hard to control?

It's the point of the product — the larger head is what gives the all-round definition Clinique describes. For the smaller lashes at the inner corner, turn the wand upright and use the end of the bristles.

Will it weigh my lashes down?

Clinique specifically positions it as volumising without weighing lashes down. How it behaves on very fine lashes still depends on how many coats you stack.

Is it safe for sensitive eyes?

Yes. It falls under Clinique's eye safety promise — ophthalmologist tested, safe for sensitive eyes and for contact lens wearers — and it's dermatologist tested, allergy tested and fragrance free.

How long does delivery take?
