Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer is the featherweight option in the line: a gel cream carrying three different types of hyaluronic acid plus ceramides. It's aimed at skin that's thirsty but doesn't want weight, and it doubles as a smooth base under makeup.

What it actually does

• Hydration at more than one level. Three forms of hyaluronic acid make up the complex, which Summer Fridays says penetrates the surface for lasting, line-plumping hydration rather than sitting on top.
• Ceramides and minerals for the barrier. Alongside amino acids, they're included to help the moisture barrier hold up.
• Antioxidant and resilience support. The amino acids are credited with antioxidant protection and supporting how resilient the skin is.
• A gentle nudge on tone. Pineapple enzyme is in the formula to smooth and soften visibly and bring out a brighter, more even-looking tone.
• Doesn't fight your makeup. The brand's own direction is to use it either for a dewy bare-skin look or as the smooth layer under foundation.

Summer Fridays reports a clinical study on 51 participants aged 35–65 in which all of them registered a significant hydration increase measured at 24, 48 and 72 hours. In a four-week consumer panel of 52 participants in the same age bracket, 100% said their skin felt softer and smoother and 92% described it as silky.

How to use

1. Apply to cleansed skin while it's still slightly damp. Damp skin gives the hyaluronic acid more water to work with.
2. Massage in gently with your fingertips until it disappears.
3. Choose your finish: glide it on alone for a fresh, dewy look, or use it as the prep layer before foundation for a smoother base.
4. Morning: follow with SPF. This is a moisturiser, not sun protection.

Is a gel cream enough on its own?

For most normal to combination skin, yes — it includes ceramides, so it's not purely a water layer. Very dry skin may want something richer over it at night.

Will it work in Egypt's heat?

It's one of the lighter textures Summer Fridays makes, which makes it a sensible pick for hot, humid days when creams feel suffocating. Keep the tube out of direct sunlight and away from a parked car.

Can I layer it with a serum?

Yes. Serums go first on clean skin, then this seals the routine. Nothing in the ingredient list conflicts with a vitamin C or niacinamide step.

Does the brand's tube recycling programme apply here?

Summer Fridays runs a programme where five empty tubes and bottles are returned in exchange for a mini Jet Lag Mask — but it's currently limited to the USA and the countries the brand itself ships to, so it isn't available from Egypt. The packaging is still recyclable locally.
