MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a stick of bouncy jelly that stains lips and cheeks at the same time. It swipes on translucent, layers up to a watercolour depth of colour, and feels cool and wet on contact — then stays put.

What it actually does

• Two products, one stick. It works as both a cheek blush and a lip stain, so your flush and your lip colour match without any guesswork.
• Sheer, then buildable. One pass is a wash of tint; more passes take it to a vivid, watercolour-like intensity.
• Stays through the day. MILK MAKEUP positions it as long-lasting colour that will not slide off halfway through the day.
• Cool on application. Seawater is credited with the hydrating, refreshing chill the formula is named for.
• Comfortable on skin. Aloe is there to soothe and refresh, and vegan collagen is the brand's firming ingredient.
• Formula callout: free of phthalates.

How to use

1. First time only: twist off and throw away the protective cap over the jelly.
2. Apply straight from the stick to lips and the tops of the cheeks, swiping or swirling.
3. Work fast, one cheek at a time. It sets quickly, so blend each side out with fingers, a brush or a sponge before moving on.
4. Layer to the depth you want, adding passes for stronger colour.
5. For a softer, diffused flush, load a brush off the stick first and tap that onto cheeks.
6. Close the cap firmly until it clicks and keep it at room temperature out of the sun — or chill it in the fridge for an even colder hit.
7. To take it fully off skin, use an oil-based cleanser; water alone will leave the stain.

Will it dry out my lips?

It is a jelly rather than a matte liquid, and the formula includes aloe and seawater for hydration. It is still a stain, though, so if your lips are naturally dry you may want a balm over the top.

Do I put it on before or after foundation?

Either works, but the stain develops best with direct skin contact. Over a very full-coverage base it behaves more like a cream blush you have to blend quickly.

Does the fridge trick actually matter?

It is the brand's own suggestion and it is about sensation, not performance — a chilled stick feels colder going on. Just keep it capped tightly.

How long does delivery take?
