COSRX Skin Barrier Moisturizing Body Cream is a rich, cloud-textured cream built around five different ceramides, and COSRX positions it for use on the body and the face. It sinks in fast and finishes light rather than greasy, which is why it works on arms and legs without leaving that slippery film most body creams do.

What it actually does

• Reinforces a weakened moisture barrier. Five ceramide types are the headline ingredient, aimed at skin whose barrier has been damaged or run down.
• Long-wear hydration. COSRX states the formula is clinically proven to hold hydration for 100 hours — a brand claim, and individual results will vary.
• Softens rough and flaky patches. The brand says one application is enough to visibly soften dry, scaly areas.
• Absorbs quickly. Despite the richness, the finish is described as non-greasy and fast-sinking, so you can dress straight after.
• Formulated with sensitive skin in mind. COSRX lists it as safe for reactive and easily-irritated skin.

How to use

1. Be generous on the dry zones. Arms, legs, elbows and hands take more product than you think.
2. Massage until it disappears. Keep working it in rather than leaving a layer on top.
3. Double up where skin is roughest. A second layer over scaly patches is fine.
4. Use it at night for intensive zones. COSRX suggests it as an overnight treatment on very dry areas.

Can I really use a body cream on my face?

COSRX designed this one for both, so yes — it's intended to work from face down to feet. If your facial skin is on the oilier side, keep it for the drier areas or for night.

Will it feel heavy in Egyptian summer?

It's a rich cream, but the finish COSRX describes is light and non-greasy once absorbed. Use a thinner layer in hot months and save the generous application for dry patches.

How long does delivery take?
