What it actually does

How to use

1. Load the flat face. Press one side of the paddle into your shadow — don't swirl, you only need one face coated.
2. Place, then press. Set the head down on the area you want shaded and press rather than sweep.
3. Turn it on edge for the lash line. Use the tapered side to run a tight line of colour right against the lashes.
4. Soften afterwards. If the edge looks sharp, finish with a separate fluffy blender — this brush places, it doesn't diffuse.

Questions

Will it blend eyeshadow out?

Not really — a flat, straight-fibre paddle is for precise placement and shading. Pair it with a rounded fluffy brush if you want the edges diffused.

Can I use it as a smudge brush under the eye?

Its small size and tapered tip make it comfortable along the lower lash line for shading a thin band of colour. Keep the pressure light so you don't drag the skin.

Does it work with gel or cream liner?

Cream is one of the recommended textures, so it handles creamy formulas. For a sharp wing you would still want a dedicated fine liner brush.
