What it actually does

• Hits volume, length and curl in one pass. Elizabeth Arden states an increase of up to 80% across all three from the first stroke, which the brand credits to the precision brush design.
• Separates every lash individually. The alternating discs and bristles are there to grab, extend and comb lashes apart instead of gluing them into spikes.
• Holds a lift. The brand describes the curl and lift as lasting rather than something that drops over the day.
• Resists flaking and smudging. Per the brand: no clumps, no flakes, no smudges, and the formula is designed not to dry out in the tube.
• Conditions while it wears. It is fortified with vitamins plus olive and rice bran extracts, both emollient-rich, so lashes stay soft and glossy.
• The tip does the false-lash trick. The push-up end of the wand is specifically for pressing lashes upward to mimic a strip-lash look.

How to use

• Start at the lash root and wiggle the brush side to side before pulling through to the ends — that is where the discs pick up and separate.
• Use the push-up tip against the base of the lashes to press them upward for the lift effect.
• Build a second coat while the first is still slightly wet if you want more density.
• Because it is water resistant, remove it with an oil-based or dual-phase remover rather than water alone.

Water resistant, which is how Elizabeth Arden describes it. That means it holds up against sweat, humidity and the odd watery eye — it is not sold as a swimming mascara.

Where does the 80% figure come from?

It is Elizabeth Arden's own claim, carried with an asterisk on brand materials, covering volume, length and curl from the first stroke. We are repeating the brand claim rather than measuring it ourselves, and individual lashes will behave differently.

Will it clump on a second coat?

The brand's position is no clumps, flakes or smudges, and the disc-and-bristle wand is designed to keep lashes separated as you build. As always, applying the second coat before the first fully sets gives the cleanest result.
