Estate Heat Activated Beauty Sponge is a makeup sponge that responds to warm water instead of cold. What it actually does

How to use

1. Run it under warm water until it swells and the colour shifts.
2. Squeeze out the excess water firmly — a dripping sponge dilutes your foundation.
3. Bounce it over the face in light taps to press product into the skin.
4. Use the pointed end for under the eyes and around the nose, and the flat side for cheeks and forehead.
5. Wash it with a gentle soap after each use and let it air dry fully before storing it.

Does it have to be warm water?

That's the point of this particular sponge — warm water is what activates it and triggers the colour change. Cold water will still dampen it, but you lose the feature you bought it for.

Can I use it dry?

We wouldn't. The design is built around being wetted with warm water first, and a dry sponge of any kind tends to absorb more product than it applies.

How do I keep it clean?

Wash it with a mild soap or sponge cleanser after each use, rinse until the water runs clear, squeeze gently and leave it somewhere open to dry. Makeup sponges are consumables — replace yours when it starts to tear or discolour permanently.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. If we have it on the shelf it ships at the quicker end; if we bring it in for your order, expect the longer end.

What if it arrives torn?

Report it within 1 day of delivery with a photo. Defective, damaged or expired items are covered by our returns, and refunds go back to your original payment method within 15–30 days. Once a sponge has been used we can't take it back for hygiene reasons.
