Eye and Lip Makeup Remover

Dior's Eye and Lip Makeup Remover is a bi-phase formula, which is why you shake it before use: a water layer sits above an oil layer, and the two together lift makeup and impurities off the most delicate parts of the face. Dior describes it as soothing feelings of discomfort and hydrating as it cleans, rather than stripping.

What it actually does

• Clears makeup and impurities gently. That combination of effectiveness without roughness is how Dior frames the product.
• Two phases, two jobs. The oily phase handles what water can't shift; the water-based phase carries the botanicals.
• Cornflower floral water, plus nymphéa extract, sit in the water layer, with Dior crediting the nymphéa with a purifying role.
• Soothes and hydrates. Dior lists both as part of the result, so the eye area isn't left tight after cleansing.
• Made for the areas you can't scrub. Eyelids, the eye contour and the lips.

How to use

1. Shake the bottle first so the water and oil phases are properly mixed. Skipping this is the main reason it underperforms.
2. Saturate a cotton pad and work over the eyelids, then the eye contour.
3. Re-soak the pad, press it against the lashes for a few seconds, then sweep down carefully to take the mascara with it.
4. Use a fresh pad for the lips.

Questions

Why do I have to shake it?

Because it's bi-phase. The water-based part and the oily part naturally separate in the bottle, and you need them blended on the cotton pad for the remover to work the way Dior intends.

Will it leave an oily film?

The oil phase is what breaks down stubborn eye makeup. Dior describes the overall result as soothing and hydrating; if you dislike any residue around the eye, follow with your usual cleanser.

Can I use it on my whole face?

Dior's instructions keep it to the eyelids, eye contour, lashes and lips. For the rest of the face, reach for a face cleanser or micellar water.

How long does delivery take?
