What it actually does

• Hydrates while it illuminates. saie's framing for this product is that it does both at once, for the fresh, dewy, no-makeup-makeup look rather than a hard strip of shine.
• Draws water into the skin. Plant-derived glycerin is a humectant — saie includes it for its ability to raise the skin's own moisture level.

Is it a highlighter or a skincare product?

Functionally both. The finish is radiant like a highlighter, but the formula is built on glycerin, squalane and rosehip seed oil, so it hydrates at the same time. saie intends it to be worn with makeup, under makeup, mixed into skincare, or alone.

Will it make me look greasy?

The formula is sheer and lightweight, and one pump goes a long way — start there. If your skin runs oily, keep it to the high points instead of all over, or use it as the prep step under a mattifying base.

Can I use it on my body?

Yes. saie specifically suggests the chest, collarbones, shoulders and legs for an all-over glow. A pump or two warmed between the palms spreads more evenly than dotting it on.
