Gold Dust Light Reflecting™ Setting Powder is the limited-edition, gilded-compact version of the NARS setting powder. The pressed formula is a translucent crystal base marbleised with champagne gold, so it sets makeup and leaves a luminous finish instead of flattening everything down.

What it actually does

• Sets makeup with light, not flatness. It locks the complexion in place while leaving a luminous finish rather than a matte one.

How to use

1. Break the surface on first use. Swirl a #13 Powder Brush over the pan several times to soften the pressed powder before your first application.
2. Tap off the excess — this one is luminous, and too much at once shows.
3. Sweep gently over the face to set makeup with that lit finish.
4. For targeted areas, press and roll it in with a powder puff or a #15 Precision Powder Brush. That technique also works best under the eyes and around the nose.

Is it a setting powder or a highlighter?

Primarily a setting powder — it is made to lock complexion products in place. The champagne gold sheen is what distinguishes it from a plain translucent powder, so the effect lands somewhere between setting and a soft all-over glow.

Why won't the powder pick up on my brush?

Pressed powders often have a firm top layer out of the box. NARS recommends swirling a #13 Powder Brush over the surface a few times when you first open it to loosen the powder.

Can I use it under the eyes?

Yes. Press and roll it in with a puff or the #15 Precision Powder Brush — that method is specifically suggested for smaller areas like the undereye and around the nose.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. Limited-edition items we have to source can sit at the longer end.

What if the compact arrives broken?

Tell us within 1 day of delivery with a photo. Returns are limited to defective, damaged or expired items, and once we confirm, the refund is issued to your original payment method within 15 to 30 days.
