JuJu Exfoliating Bar

Drunk Elephant JuJu Exfoliating Bar is a cleansing bar with a twist: thermal mud and fine bamboo spheres give it a mild physical exfoliation, while marula oil keeps the wash from stripping. No soap, no fragrance — and a near-neutral pH of 6.3 so skin isn't left tight.

What it actually does

• Cleans deeply, polishes gently. Drunk Elephant describes JuJu as dissolving excess oil, surface debris and pore-clogging impurities while lightly buffing for softer, clearer-looking skin.
• Detoxifies with Heilmoor clay. A thermal mud included for its visible toning and purifying effect.
• Exfoliates with bamboo powder. Small, smooth spheres that lift away dead, dry surface skin without harsh grit.
• Softens with virgin marula oil — rich in antioxidants and omega 6 and 9, there to keep the bar moisturising rather than drying.
• Free of soap, fragrance, essential oils and silicones; vegan and cruelty-free. Listed for all skin types, targeting dark spots, dullness, uneven texture and oiliness.

How to use

1. Wet the bar and work it into a creamy lather in your hands.
2. Massage the lather over face, neck and chest — never rub the bar itself on your skin, and keep it away from the eyes.
3. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
4. Because it exfoliates, keep it to two or three uses a week.
5. Brand tip: massage the lather over rough, chapped lips to buff away flakes, then follow with a lip balm.

How is it different from the Pekee Bar?

JuJu is the exfoliating sibling — bamboo spheres and thermal mud for a deeper, polishing cleanse a few times a week. Pekee (sold separately) is the gentler everyday cleansing bar. Many people rotate the two.

Is it harsh or drying?

It's formulated to avoid exactly that: soap-free, fragrance-free, with marula oil and a pH of 6.3 so it cleanses without stripping, per the brand. The exfoliation comes from smooth bamboo spheres rather than jagged scrub particles.
