Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream is the brand's everyday rescue moisturiser: an airy, whipped-texture cream built on three ceramides and a blend of five African oils. It now comes in a refillable jar, so you keep the packaging and replace only the pod inside.

What it actually does

• Locks moisture in with skin-identical ceramides. Ceramides NP, AP and EOP — plant-derived versions of the lipids skin produces on its own — help balance moisture and guard against water loss, per the brand.
• Feeds skin with five African oils. The oil blend is there to nourish, moisturise and visibly revive the complexion.
• Supports the barrier. Drunk Elephant describes Lala as reinforcing the acid mantle and helping skin stand up to daily stressors, with phytosphingosine adding soothing, restorative support.
• Hydrates beyond the surface. Sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer absorbs readily to release hydration, while fermented green tea contributes antioxidants against visible ageing — both per the brand's formula notes.
• Brand-reported results: in a consumer-perception study of 30 people over 8 weeks, 93% agreed skin felt softer and 93% agreed it felt smoother. Self-reported; individual results vary.

How to use

1. Use one pump, morning and night, on a clean, dry face.
2. It plays well with the rest of the line — blend it with a Drunk Elephant serum or oil in your palm and apply everything together.
3. Refilling: take off the cap and pump, lift out the finished inner jar, drop the refill pod into the outer jar, peel the seal, and screw the pump straight back on. Avoid touching the product or the pump's underside so nothing gets contaminated. The empty pod is recyclable.

Drunk Elephant's own tip is to add a pump of their B-Hydra™ serum (sold separately) for extra vitamin-B hydration, or to mix Lala with any of their serums or oils.
