HUDA BEAUTY Life Liner Quick 'N Easy Black Mini is the travel-size version of the single-sided liquid liner, built around a 0.03 mm brush tip. The tip is both fine and firm enough not to wobble, and it releases ink steadily so a single pass gives you a clean line rather than three nervous attempts. The shade is Very Vanta, an extreme black the brand says was modelled on the darkest black known.

What it actually does

• One stroke, one line. The tip puts down ink continuously, so you aren't going back over the same millimetre to fill in gaps.
• Gives you control at the thin end. At 0.03 mm the brush can sit in the lash line itself; the firm-but-flexible build is what stops it skidding.
• Reads as genuinely black. This is a high-pigment formula in Very Vanta, the brand's extreme black shade — not a soft charcoal.
• Sets matte and stops moving. HUDA BEAUTY lists it as waterproof, smudge-proof, rub-proof and sweat-proof once dry, but still easy to take off.

How to use

1. Draw the outward flick first. Start at the outer corner and take a diagonal line outwards, following the natural curve of your lower lash line upwards if you want a lifted shape.
2. Come back inwards along the same line. Use that flick as your guide and bring the liner in towards the lashes.
3. Close the gaps with short strokes. Work along whatever remains of your lash line in small movements rather than one long sweep.
4. Shake before you start, and store it tip down. That's what keeps the ink feeding properly to the brush.

Why the wing comes first: drawing the outer line before the lash line means you set the angle while your hand is unobstructed, then match the rest to it.

How is the mini different from the full size?

Will it survive a hot day?

The listed claims are waterproof, sweat-proof, smudge-proof and rub-proof, and the formula dries matte almost on contact. The brand also notes it comes off easily when you want it to, so this isn't a liner you'll be scrubbing at.

Is it suitable if I've never drawn a wing before?

Shake it well before use, and keep it stored tip downwards between uses — both are in the brand's own instructions and both exist to keep ink at the brush end.
