LIL PRICK Cactus Seed Dry Serum from Freck Beauty is a lightweight oil serum aimed squarely at dry skin. It blends four seed oils — cactus, apricot, marula and raspberry — into something that absorbs rather than sits. "Dry serum" is the clue: it behaves like a serum step, not like a heavy facial oil.

• Prickly pear seed oil. Freck Beauty notes it's non-comedogenic and rich in linoleic acid, and that it sinks in without leaving a greasy film — the reason the product reads as "dry" rather than slick.
• Sweet almond oil. Brings vitamin E, vitamin A, fatty acids, protein, potassium and zinc into the blend.
• Apricot kernel oil. Included for its linoleic acid, which the brand associates with firming and toning.
• Marula seed oil. Described by the brand as strongly anti-inflammatory, with a high antioxidant count and a light texture that absorbs fast.

Will it feel greasy?

The blend was chosen to avoid that. Freck Beauty highlights prickly pear seed oil specifically because it absorbs without leaving grease behind, and marula for its light, fast-absorbing texture. How it settles still depends on how much you use — a few drops is the whole dose.

Does it replace my moisturiser?

The brand positions it as part of a routine, used after CACTUS WATER and together with SO JELLY — not as a solo product. If your skin is very dry, keep a moisturiser in the routine.

Can I use it in the morning under SPF?

It's labelled for day and night use. Let it absorb fully before layering sunscreen, and keep SPF as your last step in the morning.
