LUXURY PALETTE

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette is a quad built as a four-stage routine rather than four loose shades. Each palette holds one shade per job — Prime, Enhance, Smoke and Pop — so the order of application is already decided for you. The formula is pigmented and buildable, and Charlotte Tilbury states it is made not to crease.

What it actually does

• Turns the palette into instructions. The four shades are named for their role in the look: a base, a definer, a depth shade, and a shimmer finisher.
• Takes one eye look from morning to evening. The brand positions each quad across four intensities — day, desk, dusk and disco — using the same four pans at different strengths.
• Buildable rather than one-note. Per the brand, the pigment layers up without creasing, so a soft daytime wash and a smoked-out evening eye come from the same palette.
• Shade families to pick from. Across the collection the quads run from bronze and gold tones through to deeper reds and purples.
• Formulation notes. Charlotte Tilbury lists this as sulfate-free and gluten-free.

How to use

1. Prime. Sweep the first shade over the whole lid with a blending brush, and tap a little into the inner corner to make the eye look wider and more open.
2. Enhance. Work the second shade through the crease, then trace it along the top and bottom lash lines. Stop here for a wearable daytime eye and finish with mascara.
3. Smoke. Going out? Rebuild steps one and two, then push the third shade up and outward into the socket, and along both lash lines for a stronger, more defined gaze.
4. Pop. Press the shimmer shade onto the middle of the lid with your ring finger for the final bit of glamour.

What do the four shade names mean?

They are stages, not just colours. Prime lays the base, Enhance adds definition in the crease, Smoke deepens the outer eye and socket, and Pop is the shimmer you press on last.

Is it matte or shimmer?

A mix. Three shades handle base, definition and depth, while the Pop shade is the shimmer that goes on the centre of the lid.

Does it crease during the day?

Charlotte Tilbury describes the formula as non-creasing and buildable. As with any shadow, how it wears depends on your lid — oily lids generally do better with a primer underneath.

How long does delivery take?
