Beauty of Joseon Light On Serum : Centella + Vita C is a brightening serum that pairs a vitamin C derivative with a high dose of Centella Asiatica extract. It was formulated as an answer to the usual complaints about pure vitamin C serums — the tack, the greasy film, the dryness afterwards — and to keep irritation low by using a stable derivative instead. 30 ml.

What it actually does
- Brightens with a vitamin C derivative, not raw ascorbic acid. 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid at 10% — the brand says it holds up better than pure vitamin C and can stay stable for 90 days even at 40°C.
- Absorbs readily and stays gentle. Beauty of Joseon describes this derivative as having high affinity for skin compared with other vitamin C derivatives, so it goes in well and sits comfortably with less sting.
- Fixes the texture problems of older vitamin C serums. Stickiness, oiliness and the dry feel left behind were all specifically targeted in the reformulation.
- 68% Centella Asiatica for soothing and moisture. The brand uses organic centella extract with a high active content, blended to push the calming and hydrating side further.
- The centella compounds are named. Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic acid and Asiatic acid — Beauty of Joseon credits these with soothing and regenerating skin, managing moisture and helping even out skin tone.
- Centella's backstory. It has a long medicinal history across Asia and is nicknamed tiger grass, from accounts of injured tigers rolling in centella fields to heal.
How to use
- Smooth skin texture with toner first. That is the prep step the brand asks for.
- Pump out an appropriate amount — enough to cover the area you are treating.
- Spread it evenly across the whole treatment area.
Is it right for you?
Yes, if your skin…
- Looks uneven in tone and you want brightening
- Reacted badly to pure vitamin C serums before
- Needs soothing alongside an active
- Dislikes tacky or greasy serum finishes
Think twice if your skin…
- Is very reactive — a 10% derivative is still an active, so patch test first
- Needs a moisturiser rather than a thin serum layer
- Is already running several strong actives at once
Questions
Is this the same as a pure vitamin C serum?
No. It uses 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, a derivative chosen for stability. The brand's point is that it avoids the drawbacks of pure vitamin C products while staying effective on skin.
Will it sting?
Beauty of Joseon says the irritation level was deliberately reduced by choosing a stable derivative, and that it works on skin comfortably. Centella at 68% is there in part for soothing. Still worth patch testing if you are sensitive.
How should I store it in Egypt's summer?
The derivative is noted as remaining stable for 90 days even at 40°C, which is reassuring for hot weather. Keeping it out of direct sunlight is still the sensible habit.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. Working days exclude weekends and official holidays.

Credit card, debit card, Instapay and mobile wallets — no cash on delivery. Returns cover defective, damaged or expired items only, reported within 1 day of delivery, with the refund going to the original payment method within 15 to 30 days.
