SPF 30 is a solid daily level as long as you apply enough and top up. For long midday hours on a beach or boat, many people prefer stepping up to an SPF 50 in the same range — the deciding factor is how generous and how frequent your application is, not the number alone.

Can children use it?

Supergoop! presents it as a family product and notes that kids are willing to apply it themselves. For infants and very young children, check with your paediatrician first, as you would with any sunscreen.
