Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus™ Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream is a rich, three-dimensional cream for the whole eye area — lids included, not just underneath. Clinique calls it the beauty of a second chance: it works on the look of fine lines while depuffing and settling the area down. It is made for morning and night, and it sits happily under makeup.

What it actually does

• Softens the look of fine lines. Clinique's claim is a visible smoothing effect across the eye area with twice-daily use.
• Plumps and refines. The brand describes it as filling out and refining the eye area rather than only moisturising it.
• Takes down puffiness and calms. Depuffing and soothing are both part of what Clinique says the formula is built to do.
• Covers lids as well as under-eyes. The directions call for it all around the eyes, which is unusual for a cream this rich.
• Formulated without parabens and phthalates — and also free of fragrance, SLS, alcohol, talc and mineral oil.

How to use

1. Twice a day, morning and night.
2. Use a light touch and smooth it all the way around the eyes — the skin here does not need pressure.

Questions

Can I really put it on my eyelids?

Yes — Clinique's own directions cover both under the eyes and the lids, which is part of how it addresses the whole area rather than one strip of it. The formula is ophthalmologist tested.

Is it too rich to wear in the morning?

It is a rich cream, but Clinique designed it for twice-daily use and states it can be worn under makeup. If you apply it, let it settle for a minute before concealer.

Do I need the matching serum too?

Not at all — the cream works on its own. Clinique simply names the Repairwear Laser Focus serum as its ideal partner if you want to run the pair together.

Is there any fragrance in it?

No. Clinique lists it as free of fragrance, along with SLS, alcohol, talc, mineral oil, parabens and phthalates.
