Rouge Blush is the powder blush Dior is known for, rebuilt into a formula the house describes as 90% natural-origin. The pigment is dense, so the technique is mostly restraint — a light sweep is enough, and it builds from a flush to a proper statement cheek if you want it to.

What it actually does

• Gives colour without the chalky look. Dior positions this as a glowing powder with a second-skin feel — it reads as colour on the cheek, not product sitting on top of it.
• Builds in stages. The formula is heavily pigmented, so one pass gives a quiet wash and extra passes take it to an intense cheek. That control is the point.
• Holds through the day. Dior describes the formula as long-wearing and comfortable to keep on, which matters more in Cairo heat than it does in a cooler climate.
• Choose your finish. Matte and satin both appear in the range, so you can pick a flat finish or a softly reflective one depending on how you wear the rest of your base.
• Doesn't leave the cheek feeling stripped. The brand says it keeps skin hydrated through the wear, which is unusual framing for a powder.

How to use

1. Pick up less than you think. Tap the brush off before it touches your face — this is a pigment-heavy powder and it is easier to add than to remove.
2. Start high, work down. Lay the first sweep near the upper cheek and carry it downward with a blush brush.
3. Circle the apples. Small circular motions over the roundest part of the cheek stop any hard edges forming.
4. Or take it upward to sculpt. For a lifted, lit effect, place it high and diffuse it out past the temple and across the arch of the brow.

Matte or satin — which should I take?

Matte if your base is already dewy or if you want the most classic finish. Satin if you like a little light coming off the cheek. Both sit in the same range, so the formula and the wear are the same either way.

Will it work over cream or liquid foundation?

Yes. Let your base settle first, then apply — powder over a still-wet cream base tends to grab. If you want extra staying power, set the cheek area lightly before the blush goes on.

Can I use it as a sculpting product too?

Dior suggests exactly that — placing it high on the cheek and diffusing it toward the temple and brow arch gives a lifted, illuminated effect rather than a flat round flush.
