Diorsnow Essence of Light Serum is Dior's brightening serum, built on the house's 5QD technology and floral science with edelweiss extract. Dior frames it as a tone-and-clarity treatment: something that works on dark marks, redness and dullness rather than just adding surface shine.
What it actually does
- Works across five dimensions of skin quality. Dior lists them as tone, evenness, texture, translucency and imperfections — the brand's 5QD framework.
- Targets discolouration specifically. It is designed to soften the look of pigment spots, and Dior names brown marks, redness and sallow undertones as what it visibly acts on.
- Brightening plus hydration from edelweiss. The edelweiss extract is Dior's floral science contribution to the formula, paired with the brightening side of the technology.
- Built on D-NA Light Reboot 2.0. Dior calls this the signature technology of the Diorsnow line, and says dark spots look reduced over time from within the epidermis outward.
- 93% natural-origin ingredients, by Dior's own calculation for this formula.

Dior lays out a four-step Diorsnow ritual for best results:
- Cleanse with Diorsnow Essence of Light Purifying Brightening Foam.
- Prep the skin with Diorsnow Essence of Light Micro-Infused Lotion.
- Apply this serum to switch on luminosity at the deeper layers.
- Seal with Diorsnow Essence of Light Lock & Reflect Creme.
Each ritual step is sold separately. The serum works on its own too — slot it in after cleansing and before your moisturiser.

Does it contain vitamin C?
The ingredient list includes 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, a vitamin C derivative, high up in the formula. Worth knowing if you already use a separate vitamin C product.
