Snow UV Base Brightening Makeup Base

Dior Snow UV Base is a makeup base that comes in two corrective shades and does three jobs at once: it moisturises, it guards the skin from UV damage across both the UVA and UVB bands, and it gives makeup something to hold onto. The texture is light and fluid, so it melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it.

What it actually does

• Corrects tone before colour goes on. Pick pink to bring warmth and radiance back into a flat complexion; pick blue if yellowness is the thing you want neutralised.
• Hydrates while it preps. Dior describes it as moisturising the skin and delivering a fresh, even complexion.
• Shields against UV. Dior lists protection from the damage UVA and UVB rays cause as part of what it does.
• Extends makeup wear. Dior states that makeup visibly stays put for longer when the base is underneath it.
• Disappears into the skin. The fluid texture blends rather than layering up, so it doesn't fight with the foundation going over it.

How to use

1. Apply after skincare, before foundation. This is a base, so it sits between the two.
2. Choose your shade by the problem you're solving — pink for dullness, blue for yellowness.
3. Spread a thin, even layer and let the fluid texture settle into the skin.
4. Build your makeup on top as usual.
