Long-wear foundation, waterproof mascara, SPF — CLINIQUE Take The Day Off™ Cleansing Balm melts all of it. Massage the solid balm over dry skin and it transforms into a silky oil that dissolves face and eye makeup along with sunscreen, then rinses away clean with no greasy film left behind.

What it actually does

• Dissolves stubborn makeup and SPF. The balm-to-oil texture breaks down even tenacious, long-wearing products without scrubbing or tugging.
• Works with your skin's own oils. Safflower seed oil helps break up the natural oil on your skin while it dissolves makeup.
• Rinses off completely. The formula is non-greasy, non-drying and lightweight — it cleanses thoroughly and washes away, leaving skin looking fresh and dewy rather than coated.
• Gentle across skin types. CLINIQUE positions it for normal, dry, combination and oily skin, and says it's great for sensitive skin too.
• Vegan and free of phthalates, per the brand's callouts.

How to use

1. With dry fingertips, massage the balm over dry skin — face and eye area.
2. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
3. For stubborn eye looks, CLINIQUE suggests pairing it with its Take The Day Off remover for lids, lashes and lips (sold separately).

Do I still need a second cleanser after it?

It cleanses thoroughly and rinses off completely on its own, so a second cleanse is optional. If you follow a double-cleansing routine, this is the classic first step: balm to melt makeup and SPF, then your usual water-based wash.

Is it safe around the eyes?

It's designed to remove eye makeup as well as face makeup, and it's positioned as gentle enough for sensitive skin. Massage softly over closed lids and rinse well — no aggressive rubbing needed.

Will it leave my oily skin greasy?

No — the formula is specifically non-greasy and made to rinse away fully, and CLINIQUE recommends it for oily skin among others. The oil phase exists to dissolve makeup, not to stay on your face.

How long does delivery take, and how do I pay?
