The Breakout Set

The INKEY List Breakout Set is three products arranged around one goal: fewer spots, less shine, clearer-looking skin. A Salicylic Acid Cleanser to start, a Niacinamide Serum for the daily work, and a Succinic Acid Treatment for the spots that need dealing with individually.

What it actually does

• Salicylic Acid Cleanser gets into the pores. As a BHA, it works inside the pore to help unclog and exfoliate gently, which the brand links to a visible drop in blackheads and breakouts.
• It also handles oil at the cleansing stage, positioned as a blemish- and oil-reducing wash for a clearer-looking complexion.
• Niacinamide Serum covers several fronts. The brand describes it as cutting excess oil, calming the look of redness left after a breakout, and making pores appear smaller — adding up to a more balanced, smoother, more even complexion.
• Succinic Acid Treatment goes spot by spot. A targeted leave-on treatment the brand says is non-drying, built for speed, and aimed at visibly reducing active blemishes and the look of redness.
• That treatment also speeds exfoliation along, helping shed dead skin cells, unclog pores and cut back visible oil.
• Three products, three roles. Nothing in the set overlaps — cleanse, treat all over, treat precisely.

How to use

1. Cleanser. Work a raspberry-sized dose over your face and neck, giving it a full minute or more before rinsing well.
2. Niacinamide Serum. Pat a pea-sized amount gently into face and neck, then follow with whichever moisturiser you already use.
3. Mornings end with SPF. Always your final layer.
4. Succinic Acid Treatment. Squeeze a little onto a clean finger and place it right on the active spot. Give it a minimum of five minutes to dry down before any other skincare or makeup goes over the top. You can repeat up to three times across a day.

The set is intended for daily use, morning, evening or both.
