The Intro Routine

The Intro Routine is the five-piece set The INKEY List puts together for someone starting skincare properly for the first time. Cleanse, hydrate, treat the eye area, moisturise, protect — the five steps most routines are built on, in full sizes, with nothing you have to decode. The brand calls these its non-negotiable ingredients, and the set is deliberately gentle rather than aggressive.

What it actually does

• Removes makeup and the day with it. The Oat Cleansing Balm is a nourishing, hydrating cleanser that lifts makeup, dirt and general build-up without leaving skin squeaking.
• Locks moisture in early. The Hyaluronic Acid Serum is the hydration step, holding water in the skin so it reads plumper and more comfortable.
• Wakes up tired eyes. Caffeine Eye Cream is positioned by the brand as an instant pick-me-up for the under-eye area.
• Moisturises without oil. Omega Water Cream is an oil-free, ultra-hydrating moisturiser that holds that hydration in for a dewy, healthy-looking finish.
• Ends with sun protection. Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30 closes the morning routine and leaves skin primed as well as protected.
• Teaches the order, not just the products. Because each piece has an assigned step, you learn a sequence you can keep using as your shelf grows.

How to use

1. Clean. On a damp face and neck, work in a raspberry-sized amount of Oat Cleansing Balm for around 60 seconds, then rinse off thoroughly with water.
2. Hydrate. Add a few drops of Hyaluronic Acid Serum while skin is still fresh.
3. Eyes. Use a pea-sized amount of Caffeine Eye Cream around the eye contour, morning and evening.
4. Moisturise. Massage a blueberry-sized amount of Omega Water Cream over face and neck.
5. SPF, mornings only. Finish the AM routine with Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30 as the last layer. The other four steps run both morning and night.

Is there any retinol or acid in this set?

No. It's the gentle, foundational version of a routine — cleansing, hydration, eye care, moisturiser and sunscreen. Stronger actives are a later decision.

Can I use the whole thing twice a day?

Yes — the routine is designed for morning and evening. The only exception is the sunscreen, which belongs at the end of the morning routine only.

Is the cleansing balm enough on its own for heavy makeup?

The brand describes it as removing makeup, dirt and impurities, so for most everyday makeup it's your single cleanse. If you wear something especially long-wearing, give it the full minute of massaging before you rinse.

How long does shipping take?

Expect 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. Stock we hold moves quickly; sets we order in for you take longer. Working days don't include weekends or official holidays, and we'll keep you posted if anything slips.

Which payment options are available?

Credit card, debit card, Instapay and mobile wallets. Cash on delivery isn't available; all orders are prepaid.

What's the return policy?

Returns cover defective, damaged or expired items only, and need to be reported within 1 day of delivery. After we verify the issue, your refund returns to the original payment method within 15–30 days.
