Drunk Elephant Time to Reflect pairs two of the brand's colour serum drops: D-Bronzi for warmth and B-Goldi for a golden brightness. Neither is meant to be worn on its own — you mix a drop of each into a moisturiser, so the colour and the skincare arrive together.

What it actually does

• B-Goldi evens the tone. Niacinamide at 5% is credited with improving visible signs of ageing along with uneven tone and texture, and it leaves an easy golden finish behind.
• D-Bronzi warms and defends. The peptide-infused drops boost the skin's defences while adding a bronzy glow — the anti-pollution angle is in the name.
• Matrixyl 3000 on lines. The peptide blend is listed as reducing how fine lines and wrinkles appear while encouraging elasticity and resilience.
• Colour that is meant to be mixed. Drunk Elephant designs these drops to go into their moisturisers, or into each other, so you get skincare benefits and a wash of colour across the whole face.
• Part of the smoothie philosophy. The brand builds everything to be combined in the palm, with Umbra — their sunscreen — the single exception, since it is meant to stay on the surface blocking UV.
• What the studies reported. For B-Goldi, eight weeks with 34 people: everyone showed improvement in tone evenness and brightness, 97% in clarity, and 97% a reduction across dark spots, hyperpigmentation and fine lines. Can I use the drops on their own?

They are designed to be mixed — into a Drunk Elephant moisturiser or into each other — which is how you get an even wash of colour rather than concentrated patches.

What is the difference between the two?

B-Goldi carries the 5% niacinamide and gives a golden brightening finish; D-Bronzi carries peptides, supports the skin's defences and adds the bronze. Mixing both is what the set is for.

Are these full sizes?

Each bottle holds 30 mL — one ounce — so you get both drops at full size in the set.

Will it come off on my clothes?

The drops are intended to be diluted into a moisturiser before they go anywhere near your face, which keeps the colour light. Build up slowly with a single drop until you know how much suits you.
