Summer Fridays Rich Cushion Cream is the heavyweight of the line — an ultra-rich moisturiser built to plump the look of the skin and prop up a struggling moisture barrier. The brand aims it at skin dealing with dryness, fine lines and slackness, and it carries the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance.
| Texture | Rich cream — silky, veil-like on application |
| Skin types | Normal, dry, combination and oily |
| Targets | Fine lines and wrinkles, dryness, loss of firmness and elasticity |
| Hydration trio | Glycerin · squalane · saccharide isomerate |
| Plant extracts | Watermelon rind · lentil fruit · apple skin · coastal plants |
| Formula callouts | Vegan · cruelty-free · National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance |
What it actually does
- Holds moisture for a full day. Glycerin, squalane and saccharide isomerate are combined to deliver up to 24 hours of moisture, per Summer Fridays.
- Softens the look of fine lines. That job falls to the watermelon rind, lentil fruit and apple skin extracts, which the brand credits with plumping how fine lines appear.
- Backs up the barrier. Coastal plant extracts are there to support the moisture barrier with what the brand describes as a second-skin effect.
- Built for stressed, dry skin. Summer Fridays frames it as the cream dry skin reaches for after external stressors, with a silky texture that lays down like a protective layer.
- Sensitive-skin credentials. It holds the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance™, which is not something every rich cream can claim.
Brand-reported results
In an independent clinical study of 32 participants aged 31–60, the brand reports that all of them showed a meaningful rise in measured hydration at the 8-hour mark. A separate consumer study on 32 participants in the same age range, assessed at 24 hours, reports: 100% felt immediately hydrated, 96% found their texture soft and smooth, 94% described a radiant, healthy glow, and 87% said their skin looked firmer and more elastic.
Figures published by Summer Fridays. The consumer numbers are self-reported. Individual results vary.
How to use
- Cleanse first. This goes on skin that's already clean.
- Warm it between your fingertips and massage it in gently rather than dragging it across the face.
- Treat it as your last leave-on step at night; in the morning, SPF goes over the top.
Is it right for you?
Yes, if…
- Your skin runs dry, tight or dehydrated
- Fine lines, wrinkles or a loss of firmness bother you
- You like a genuinely rich cream at night
- You want an eczema-association-accepted formula
Think twice if…
- You prefer gel textures — this is the opposite end of the range
- Rich creams feel like too much under makeup in Egyptian summer heat
- You're looking for an active treatment; this is a barrier and hydration cream
Questions
Is this too heavy for oily skin?
The brand lists oily skin among the suitable types, but the texture is deliberately rich. If your skin is oily and you still want it, try it as a night-only cream and keep something lighter for daytime.
Day or night?
Either. Its weight makes it a natural night cream, and the 24-hour moisture claim means one application can carry you through the day too. Nothing in the formula restricts it to evenings.
What does the Eczema Association seal mean here?
It's a recognition programme for products considered suitable for people with eczema or sensitive skin. Summer Fridays states this cream carries it. It is not a medical treatment claim — if you have active eczema, check with your dermatologist.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 3 to 21 working days, depending on availability. What we hold in stock moves fastest; anything sourced in for your order takes longer. Weekends and official holidays aren't counted as working days.
Payment and returns?
Pay by credit card, debit card, Instapay or mobile wallet — we don't offer cash on delivery. Returns cover defective, damaged or expired items only, reported within 1 day of delivery; approved refunds reach your original payment method within 15–30 days.
